Landscape Design in Eatonville
We plan your yard around how it drains, where the sun falls and how much upkeep you want. Then we put the layout, plant list and pricing in writing before any soil gets turned, so the install comes with no surprise add-ons.

A plan built on your soil, sun and water
Landscape design is the step before planting. We look at how your property actually behaves: which beds bake in afternoon sun, where roof runoff lands, how fast the sandy soil drains, and which corners stay shaded by oaks most of the day. The plan comes from those conditions, not from a catalog photo.
Most failed plantings we replace were the right plant in the wrong spot. A hibiscus tucked into deep shade won't bloom. Viburnum hedges set too close to the house trap moisture against the wall and need constant shearing. Placing each plant for its mature size and its light and water needs is what keeps a yard looking good past the first season.
We are a family-owned company, in business since 2018, and we hand you the design and the pricing together. You can see exactly what is included, what each part costs, and what would change the number before you agree to anything.
What a design from us includes
On-site assessment
We walk the property with you and note sun exposure through the day, low spots, downspout discharge, existing trees and utilities. We also ask how you use the yard and how much weekend maintenance you are willing to do.
Scaled layout drawing
A plan view showing bed lines, lawn areas, walkways and plant locations, drawn to scale so spacing reflects mature size. That spacing is what prevents the overcrowding that leads to fungus and constant pruning.
Plant list matched to conditions
Each plant is chosen for its light, water and cold tolerance, with its container size listed. We favor species that handle summer humidity and the occasional winter frost without heavy spraying.
Water and drainage notes
We mark where irrigation zones should split between turf and beds, since grass and shrubs need different run times. Where water pools, the plan shows regrading, a swale or a dry creek bed to move it.
Hardscape placement
If you want a patio, path or edging, we show where it goes and how it ties into the planting, so pavers and beds are built in the right order.
Line-item quote
Every material, plant and labor task is listed separately. If something is optional, it says so.
Signs your yard needs a real plan
Plants keep dying in the same bed
Repeated losses in one spot usually point to wrong light, poor drainage or root competition from a nearby tree. Replanting the same thing won't fix the cause.
Water pools or washes out mulch
After a heavy afternoon storm, standing water or bare soil along a bed edge means the grade or runoff path needs attention before anything new goes in.
Foundation shrubs have outgrown the house
Hedges covering windows or touching siding were planted too close or chosen too large. A redesign swaps them for plants that stay at the right height.
Grass won't grow in the shade
Turf thins out under dense canopy no matter how often you fertilize. A shade bed or groundcover often works better there than more sod.
You are planning a patio or addition
Designing the planting around new hardscape at the start avoids tearing out fresh beds later.
How the design process runs
- 1
Walkthrough and measurements
We meet you at your home, walk the yard, take measurements and photos, and talk through goals and budget. The walkthrough and estimate are free.
- 2
First draft
We draw the layout and build the plant list, then review it with you, explaining why each plant sits where it does.
- 3
Revisions and final pricing
You tell us what to change. Once the plan is settled, you get a written quote that matches it line for line, with no blanket allowances.
- 4
Scheduled installation
When you approve, we set the install date and work in order: removal, grading, irrigation changes, hardscape, then plants and mulch. We clean up hauled material and debris before we leave.
What moves the cost of landscape design
The design and the install are priced from the same written scope, so you see how each choice affects the total. Most of the cost sits in materials and labor for the build, not the drawing itself. Bigger projects can be paid over time: we finance amounts as high as $100,000, with terms anywhere from two to twelve years and no penalty if you pay it off early.
- Size of the area
- A front entry bed and a full backyard renovation are different jobs. More square footage means more plants, soil amendment and labor.
- Plant size at install
- A 3-gallon shrub costs far less than a 15-gallon one and catches up in a few seasons. We list container sizes so you can trade instant fullness for budget.
- Removal and grading
- Tearing out overgrown shrubs, old rock or dead sod, and correcting the grade for drainage, adds labor and hauling before anything new is planted.
- Irrigation and hardscape
- Splitting zones, moving heads or adding drip lines raises the cost, as do pavers and edging. Each is a separate line so you can phase them.
Landscape design questions
Something not covered here? (407) 537-4177
Do I have to hire you for the installation?
We design with our own install crews in mind, and the quote covers both. You can approve the whole plan or start with one area and phase the rest. Either way, the scope is settled on paper first.
Will the plants survive a cold snap?
We pick species that tolerate the brief frosts the area sees most winters. Tender tropicals, if you want them, go in protected spots near the house where they are easy to cover. The plant list notes which ones need that.
Can you design around my existing trees?
Yes. We keep healthy trees in the plan and avoid deep digging inside their root zone. If a tree is declining or poorly placed, we will say so and explain the options, including our tree trimming and removal service.
How do I know the price won't grow once you start?
The quote lists every plant, material and labor item. If we find something hidden underground, like buried debris or an old irrigation line, we stop, show you, and price the change in writing before doing it.
Who covers it if something gets damaged during the work?
We are fully insured, so an accident on your property is not left for you to sort out. Our crews also mark sprinkler heads and utilities during the walkthrough to keep those risks low in the first place.
